5. Flow of opportunities result from a balanced environment.

Elements of Harmony Philosophy

  • Feng shui is a process, not a one-time event. Our environments are an extension of who we are and are a palette for positive change. The principles of feng shui provide a way of seeing, understanding and designing your environment to make the most of the Chi.
  • A balanced, meaningful space has a positive influence on our life, supporting us to live and work better. When we feel good in our space, we are able to fully express ourselves in our life.
  • We are all responsible for the environment, both inside our home and out. Use what you already own, refurbish and renew your favorites; recycle belongings you no longer need.

Jen Boyd, Consultant

Jen Boyd optimizes the flow of energy in residential and commercial spaces with a down-to-earth approach to feng shui that makes the ancient study easy, understandable and applicable for today's lifestyle. Her custom solutions reinforce life and business goals, improving situations including financial, interpersonal, creative and more - typically using what one already owns and often requiring only subtle changes.

Jen first discovered feng shui at a time in her life when she was looking for a way to create more balance in her life. In 2001, her mother called her and said I’m feng shui’ing my house!” Jen replied with question, “You’re feng what?” Curious to find out what this new discipline entailed and could do for her life, Jen began reading books on feng shui, beginning with “The Western Guide to Feng Shui” by Terah Kathryn Collins, who later turned out to be her first teacher.

Through her efforts she has found that life flows more easily when living and working in balanced environment that follows feng shui principles. Jen’s goal is to help others create a “balanced space” with the ultimate result being a functional, supportive environment that incorporates one’s personal style. "When we feel good in our space, we are able to fully express ourselves in our life," says Jen.

Through her years as a student and practitioner of feng shui, Jen has witnessed small and great changes in her own life. "By using feng shui, I've made significant shifts in my life that inspired me to share these methods with others. Personally, feng shui helped me learn to honor myself everyday, become more grounded and balanced, and have clarity about my life - both at home and at work. I continually use my environment as a palate for positive change", explains Jen.

In addition to numerous residential spaces, Jen has been influential in improving the flow of energy with feng shui in offices, restaurants, art studios, holistic care centers, yoga studios and other commercial settings. In 2010, Jen worked with the owners of Muskegon Yoga Center to find and set-up a new location to bring well-being through yoga to West Michigan. Read about it on the Muskegon Yoga website.

Jen has provided classes, lectures and training for the Golden Door Spa at the Waldorf Astria, Kimball Art Center, SAS, Speaking of Women's Health, KB Home Studio, Meredith College Community Outreach Program, TOPS, Raleigh Home & Garden Show, and Storehouse Furniture, as well as yoga studios, spas, health centers, libraries and networking groups. She has contributed articles for the “My Space” column of PINK, the national magazine dedicated to professional women.

Simultaneously, Jen has worked for over a decade in senior corporate marketing positions in Park City, Raleigh, Atlanta and Tampa with companies: DwellTek, SAS, Cingular Wireless (now AT&T), Bennett Kuhn Varner Direct Marketing Agency, Fountainhead Advertising and Carrabba's Italian Grill. Today, Jen continues to provide feng shui consulting for residential and commercial clients, as well as, teaches other consultants how to bolster their business through targeted marketing efforts.

Jen lives and works in Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah. When she's not consulting with clients, you might catch her trail running, hiking, skiing and camping in the mountains of Utah!
